Fate/Grand Order is a free-to-play Japanese mobile game, developed by Lasengle and published by Aniplex. The game is based on Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night franchise and was released in Japan on 29 July 2015 for Android and on 12 August 2015, for iOS. An arcade version titled Fate/Grand Order Arcade was released by Sega in Japan on 26 July 2018.
The game is centered around turn-based combat where the player, who takes on the role of a “Master”, summons and commands powerful familiars known as “Servants” to battle enemies. The story narrative is presented in a visual novel format, and each Servant has its own scenario that the player can explore. Servants are obtained through the gacha mechanic.
Today we will be talking about one of the Servants in the game, Oberon.
Background
Oberon is a Servant who was summoned by the land of Britain to defeat Morgan, the ruler of Faerie Britain. He was first introduced in “Faerie Realm of the Round Table, Avalon le Fae.”

Oberon is competent in combat, but he truly excels in gathering intel and providing combat support. He is a hardworking person who flits around with all his might to ensure that Chaldea succeeds in their mission.
Battle Abilities
Despite being an intel gatherer primarily, he is also more than competent in combat. He can launch projectiles, several of which decay into a suspiciously dark-looking mud-like substance after they connect with the target. He can summon butterflies and bombard the enemy with their glistening dust. Not only butterflies, but Oberon can summon all kinds of bugs, including things like beetles, wasps, giant centipedes, and a pillbug the size of a small car. He can also conjure a scythe that is seemingly made out of an insect’s leg.
Oberon has an A+ in Item Construction, making him the best choice for crafting the highest tier items. His Veil of Night increases the will of himself and his entire party by bringing forth nightfall, while his Morning Lark brings forth daylight and increases the party’s mental state while also boosting magic damage. His biggest skill and quite possibly his Achilles Heel is his End of a Dream wherein he buffs an ally of his choosing to unparalleled heights, but for one turn only. After that turn, the ally would fall asleep permanently, which makes this a skill perfect for a finishing blow.
