Who is Yelan in Genshin Impact?

Yelan is an upcoming 5-Star character in Genshin Impact who shows off cool, dark-blue hair with a black and blue themed outfit. She dons a white fur coat and has piercing turquoise eyes.

Yelan’s name literally translates from Chinese to ‘Night Orchid’. She is a mysterious entity who claims to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Yelan will initially make her appearance in the update that is going to release in a couple of days, Genshin Impact version 2.6, where she will be present as an NPC in a quest. Yelan is inevitably going to become playable, most likely in the version 2.7 update, being added alongside Kuki Shinobu.

While information on this mysterious yet beautiful entity in Genshin Impact is scarce right now, leakers have mentioned that Yelan is going to be a five-star Hydro Bow user, making her the second Hydro bow user after the famed Tartaglia. Not much information on her playstyle or origin exists just yet, other than the fact that Yelan is of high authority, as she is a part of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
