Hidetaka Miyazaki’s souls series has become one of the best, if not the best, videogame series of all time. It has garnered a sizeable community of players mad for anything related to the souls’ games.
The latest iteration in the soul’s genre, Elden Ring, has an official release date and platform. And, it doesn’t include the Nintendo Switch, and that has startled the Nintendo community with the question “Will Elden Ring Be Playable on the Nintendo Switch?”
Will Elden Ring Release for the Nintendo Switch?
Elden Ring is one of the most ambitious projects of From Software, carefully crafted under the guidance of the legend Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin.
The scale of the Elden Ring is much higher than its predecessors. Also, despite using the same game engine, Elden Ring has improved visuals and level of detail that you cannot achieve in a handheld console like Nintendo Switch.
So far, we have no official confirmation on an Elden Ring release on the Nintendo Switch platform.
According to the Bandai Namco CEO, Yasuo Miyakawa, “there are more plans for Elden Ring beyond just the game itself.” Though, there is no exact detail on what there is to come.
Running Elden Ring on Nintendo Switch may become possible if FromSoftware decides to lower the visual fidelity and scale of the game. That would ruin the experience, as players may not care about the graphics, though they care about the FPS.
With that said, we think Elden Ring’s release on the Nintendo Switch platform is not possible, and also, there is no official talk suggesting a possible release.
We will update this article if there is any official news on this front. This, of course, may be upsetting news to some. However, Skyrim is playable on the Nintendo Switch and is a perfect substitute for Elden Ring.
Elden Ring is a roleplaying game currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
