Will MLB The Show 22 be on Nintendo Switch? – Answered

The MLB The Show series has become, since its debut back in 2006 on the PlayStation 2, one of the most successful sports game series ever. Being the only baseball simulation series on the market for the past few years, it’s not surprising that baseball fans have been clamoring for the MLB The Show games to release on platforms other than PlayStation consoles.

While this seemed impossible, as MLB The Show is developed by San Diego Studio, part of PlayStation Studios, the series did become a multi-platform one with MLB The Show 21, which launched on Xbox consoles. What about the Nintendo Switch, however? Will the next entry in the series also release on Nintendo’s popular console? Let’s find out.

Will MLB The Show 22 be on Nintendo Switch? – Answered

MLB The Show 22 will also release on Nintendo Switch as well as on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, complete with most of the play modes that will be included in the other versions of the game. The Nintendo Switch version will also come with full cross-play features, meaning that you will be able to play together with PlayStation and Xbox players without any limitation.

Unfortunately, MLB The Show 22 on Nintendo Switch will have to be tweaked to run properly on Nintendo Switch. Graphics will have to be downsized a bit, and Stadium Creator mode will not be available, which is not surprising, considering it also won’t be in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

It’s not all doom and gloom for the MLB The Show 22 Nintendo Switch version, as it will also come with some features not available on other platforms, such as the Amateur and Minor difficulty settings. These will be perfect if you have never played MLB The Show before and want to learn the series’ mechanics without getting overwhelmed by your opponents.

For the rest, MLB The Show 22 on Nintendo Switch promises to be the full experience. Get your bats ready, folks: April 5 is not that far, after all.
