Persona 5 fans, rejoice! Developers have recently announced the development of Persona 5: Phantom of the Night (also known as Persona 5: The Phantom X or P5X) after teasing it all the way back in 2021. This is the first mobile game set in this universe.
A joint effort of Perfect World Games and Atlus, this upcoming turn-based RPG will focus on the concept of desire and give players an opportunity to live their lives as students of Kiba Academy and fill their time with classes and hard work, but also fishing, watching movies, or playing baseball. On top of everything else, you will have a chance to summon your Persona and explore the exciting but dangerous Metaverse.
As seen in the latest trailer, the game promises to keep the look and feel of the original Persona 5. It is announced as a free-to-play title for iOS and Android devices with in-game purchases.
Will Persona 5: The Phantom X be on PC?
While there was no mention of PC in the official announcement, it looks like Persona 5: The Phantom X will be playable on Windows as well. The developers have invited fans to sign up for the Infiltration Test on the official website before the test starts on March 29. One of the listed test systems is PC (Windows), which gives hope to gamers who prefer this platform.
However, we haven’t had any information about the official release date so far. The testing stage is currently available only in China, and no more info has been shared on a potential global release. We will have to wait for more details in the future and cross our fingers for positive news that would make PC gamers around the world happy.
