Pokemon Legends Arceus is a pretty big game, featuring a huge region to explore filled with secrets. While the game doesn’t take that much longer to complete than other entries in the series, it is undeniable that it provides a nice playground where players can loose themselves for dozens of hours.
Given how the previous main entries in the series, Pokemon Sword and Shield, have been expanded after release with The Crown Tundra DLC, many are wondering if Pokemon Legends Arceus will receive the same treatement, and provide even more content to those that feel the Hisui region is not big enough for them. Let’s find out if DLC is indeed coming, and when.
Will Pokemon Legends Arceus Have DLC?
At the time of writing, Nintendo and Game Freak haven’t said anything regarding their DLC plans for Pokemon Legends Arceus, which is not surprising at all, considering the game has just released. There is a good chance, however, that the game will get DLC in some form at some point.
As reported on Reddit, Riddler Khu, who leaked plenty of Pokemon Legends Arceus information correctly before the game’s release, hinted that something related to the series is happening this April, which is also when the Pokemon Legends Arceus official guidebook is releasing in Japan. While an April release for a DLC expansion seems a little too close, it wouldn’t be weird for an announcement to come on this month, and a release coming during the Holiday season.
Pokemon Legends Arceus is a pretty big game even in its launch state, so there is no need to worry about DLC for now. If the game proves to be successful, and everything does seem to indicate that it will, Nintendo and Game Freak will surely expand the experience to give it even more value, and turn Pokemon Legends Arceus into an even better game.
