Will You Be Able to Play Lost Ark on Steam Deck?

Since its official launch on February 11, 2022, Lost Ark has won the hearts of its newfound fans. In less than a month, more than 11 million players have visited the game and most of them have stayed for more. And after such an enchanting start, the gaming community got a question about the possibility of playing on other platforms, namely, will Lost Ark be available on Steam Deck?

At the moment, Lost Ark is available to play on PC and Smilegate, and that’s enough for most players, but what about console users and those who expect to play on Steam Deck?

For PS and Xbox users, we have extremely bad news because the developers do not yet plan the opportunity to play Lost Ark on consoles and it is not known whether they will decide to do it at all.

At the moment the game will not be available on Steam Deck, and at the time of the release of the console, there is also a chance that the game will not be synchronized. But Valve is committed to syncing most of its games to Steam Deck and is doing so with great success.

Also very encouraging is the fact that Steam Deck runs on a Linux operating system. This means that Valve is aiming for full compatibility between the Steam library and Steam Deck.

One of the major issues that may have prevented Lost Ark and Steam Deck from being compatible is that the game relies on Easy Anti Cheat (EAC), which previously could not run on handheld devices. But more recently, Valve announced that they have solved this problem and EAC will be able to function safely on the Steam Deck. This means that there are no serious deterrents to running the game on a portable PC.

But still, it is worth noting that there was no official statement from the developers of Lost Ark.
