With football season starting up once again, many players are getting back into Fantasy Football, the football simulator that lets you build your own dream teams and see how they do against other teams. Yahoo’s Fantasy Football is always the most popular platform to use, and there are lots of helpful tools to get you started. Today, we’ll show you how to auto-draft in Yahoo Fantasy Football!
Using Auto-Draft in Yahoo Fantasy Football
In Yahoo Fantasy Football, players will sign up for drafting times. To ensure that everyone gets a fair shot at drafting the players they want to their fantasy team, the drafting system uses a timed system. You can sign up to draft your own players, but if you’d like, you can also let the computer handle it for you.
Using the computer to automatically draft a team for you is called auto-draft. When you enable auto-draft, the computer will automatically determine which players are the best picks at the moment, and draft them accordingly.
There are a couple of ways to enable auto-draft. The first method can only be done during pre-draft only, so this for the players who just want to set it and forget it. First, on the top bar tab, click on Draft, and you’ll be taken to the draft settings menu.
From there, you’ll want to click on Change Draft Type. You’ll be given four different options, so make sure to select Autopick. This will ensure that when it comes time, your draft will be autopicked for you.
The second method is to actually enable it during live drafts. If you want to test this out, we recommend waiting in a Mock Draft room to see how it works, because it can be a little confusing at first.
During a live draft, players will take turns drafting players in the order they showed up in. Before it gets to your turn, look towards the bottom left corner, and you should see a button that says autodraft. Click on it, and it’ll turn blue, signifying that auto-draft is now active.
When it comes to your turn to pick, you should see your turn go by in the blink of an eye, because auto-draft will do all the hard work for you. If at any point you want to manually draft, simply click the autodraft button again to disable it.
