Bamboo wood will officially arrive in Minecraft with the 1.20 update in 2023. As of now, Mojang has released some 1.20 features for players to try via snapshot, beta, and preview. Players will first have to enable experimental features to get the new bamboo wood. Once enabled, players can get bamboo wood directly from the creative menu or craft it.
How to Craft Bamboo Plank and Bamboo Mosaic
Bamboo plank is the first plank-type block that doesn’t require a tree. As obvious from its name, bamboo is the key ingredient for crafting bamboo planks. Players can make a bamboo plank using four bamboos.
Bamboo planks work just like other plank blocks. Players can use bamboo planks to make slabs, doors, fences, stairs, etc. It can also be used to craft a new decorative block called bamboo mosaic. Players can use two bamboo slabs to make a bamboo mosaic block in Minecraft.
Bamboo mosaic can further be used for crafting bamboo mosaic stairs and slabs. It is an exciting building block with unique patterns on all sides. Many Minecraft players will love to build with bamboo planks and bamboo mosaic blocks.
Other uses of Bamboo Plank
Bamboo planks can also be used to craft a unique boat variant called raft in Minecraft. It works just like regular boats but has a different look. Besides creating rafts, players can use bamboo planks and chains to make hanging signs.
