Project Slayers is an action adventure game where players jump into a fantasy world based on feudal Japan. The game features a fast-paced combat system, and there are plenty of challenging bosses to face off against. One such boss is Giyu, who drops tier 2 loot. Today, we’ll show you where to find Giyu in our Giyu location guide on Project Slayers!
Where to Find Giyu in Project Slayers
To find Giyu, you must first find Butterfly Mansion. It is quite the distance from Kiribating Village, the starting village, so if you’ve never been to Butterfly Mansion before, you have to hike for a while.
Open your map and select Butterfly Mansion as your destination, and a red arrow will point you in the right direction. If you’ve already visited Butterfly Mansion in the past, you can simply talk to Horse Guy for a free ride there.
Once you’re at Butterfly Mansion, head directly south. The compass at the top of the screen will show you the current direction you’re facing, so use that to orient yourself.
Eventually you should see two small hills with a giant fallen tree connecting them. Giyu should be wandering around this area, along with his two subordinates.

Giyu’s subordinates should be dealt with first before you engage Giyu himself, as they can cause you issues if you leave them alive. They have a huge aggro range, so they’re probably going to find you before you even spot them.
Once you dealt with the subordinates, you can tackle Giyu himself. Giyu is packing 2100 health, so you’re in for the long haul. The majority of Giyu’s moves are all multi-hitting combos, so most players prefer to just keep their distance while he unleashes his attacks.
Once Giyu is done attacking, that’s your cue to move in and go for a combo. You can try to perfect block some moves to give you an opening, but beware, as missing the perfect block will either result in a block break or just heavy damage.
If you best Giyu, you’re rewarded with a tier 2 chest. Additionally, if you’re a Water Breather, there is a small chance to obtain Giyu’s Constant Flux skill.
