Set in a fancy restaurant full of whimsical characters, Yokai Kitchen is an upbeat anime RPG where perfecting your cuisine will require a little magic as well as skill. Your job will be to run the restaurant and make deslishes and unique dishes with the aid of your Foodimon – special little critters that have the knowledge and skills to produce delicious ingredients.

Maintaining a successful restaurant will take more than skills in the kitchen though – you’ll also have to battle rivals, solve puzzles, and capture plenty of foodimon to keep discovering more delicious recipes.

Fate of the Empress swaps the kitchen high-jinx for tales of love and drama set in ancient China. Boasting stunning 3D graphics and beautiful animated cut-scenes, this RPG tasks you to find your way to be a queen/a king, whilst mingling with the social elite in extravagant imperial-era surroundings.

Fate of the Empress focuses on high-drama rather than the art of war, so its definitely one to consider if you’re after a little romance as a change of pace from the standard action-based RPG fare.
