The Ys series by Falcom made its comeback in the West earlier this year with Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, and soon enough, Nintendo Switch owners will be able to enjoy the game on their console.
Publisher NISA confirmed that the ninth main entry in the classic series will be released on Nintendo Switch on July 6 in North America, July 9 in Europe and July 16 in Oceania.
A new trailer has been released to celebrate the release date announcement. You can take a look at it below.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox doesn’t play that differently from the most recent entries in the series, but it comes with enough new features that do move the series forward, such as improved verticality that led to a more complex level design. The story is also among the best ever seen in the Ys series, so fans of the series on Nintendo Switch will be in for something very good that is well worth the wait.
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox launches on Nintendo Switch in July. The game is out right now on PlayStation 4.
